According to Chinese media such as Dhawan News, Liu, a 27-year-old woman living in Tianjin, underwent the 10th laser freckle removal procedure at a skin clinic on the morning of the 21st of last month.

"When I came back after 10 minutes, she had symptoms such as shock, convulsions, and foreign substances in her mouth, and she had congestion. The doctor performed CPR, and the assistant nurse next door called the emergency services."

Liu's husband and family suspect excessive use of anesthetic drugs, saying they had no chronic disease.
They urged health authorities to find out the truth.
The hospital said it was treated according to the procedure and would actively cooperate with the authorities' investigation.
