According to an investigation by dispatched police, the owner of the mobile phones was Mr. Mamo, who used and accessed different accounts to receive gifts drawn from a social media livestream.
There were more than 400 mobile phones mobilized, and the winning gifts he received ranged from inexpensive daily necessities to printer devices to the latest iPhone models.
After receiving the product, he said he sold it on a used e-commerce platform.

The phone did not have a SIM card inserted, but instead he purchased other people's accounts online. I also bought my cell phone secondhand online.
The police charged him with personal information infringement.
Police have not disclosed the specific level of punishment, but under Chinese criminal law, individuals who acquire, sell or provide citizens' personal information can face up to three years in prison or a fine.
