Metro and other foreign media reported that a 46-year-old woman living on Sumatra Island, Indonesia, was attacked by a crocodile as soon as she entered the sea to wash her feet on the morning of the 17th (local time). When the resident saw this, he screamed and restrained, but the crocodile bit her and disappeared into the water.
The resident "It was a terrible sight. It was more brutal than any scene in hell. Her blood turned the water red," he said, explaining the situation at the time.
Later, other residents rushed to the water to find the woman's body and witnessed a terrible scene.
The crocodile, which reappeared about an hour later, was still holding the woman's body in its mouth.
Residents went by the crocodile on a boat to take out the bodies and threw a live chicken.
As intended, the crocodile placed the body and bit the chicken, and residents quickly pulled the body out of the water.
A few hours later, local police shot and caught the killer crocodile.
Residents urged the government to take action against the crocodile's 'serious threat'.
The majority of residents live in coastal villages and earn a living at sea, and crocodiles often appear near the island, he said.
Meanwhile, Indonesia is known to have suffered the most crocodile attacks in the world in the past decade.
There were a total of 1,000 crocodile attacks, and 450 people were killed.
