Dongseo Food Co., Ltd. Continuous cultural and artistic sharing activities similar to coffee scent

Dongseo Food conveys a warm warmth throughout society under the corporate slogan of 'Dongseo Food' that adds fragrance to life'. In particular, it is striving for social contribution activities that can practice co-prosperity and share the scent of life through culture and arts such as music and literature.
Since 2008, which marked its 40th anniversary, Dongseo Food has been holding the "East-West Coffee Classics" to communicate with local communities and help develop culture and arts. The East-West Coffee Classics is a free performance held for local citizens by visiting a city every year. The first tour of major cities across the country, including Seoul, Busan, and Incheon, is performing high-quality performances with orchestras and famous musicians in the region.
This year's 14th East-West Coffee Classics was held at the Art Hall of the Daejeon Arts Center on October 30. A total of 1,200 audiences participated, including the Gongju Chungcheongnam-do Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Chung Na-ra, pianist Cho Jae-hyuk, violinist Kim Da-mi, soprano Kim Soon-young, crossover artist Park Hyun-soo, and tenor Kim Sung-hyun performed enthusiastically.
In addition, Dongseo Food is steadily sponsoring cultural assets to youth orchestras through the 「Scent of Maxim Love」. The scent of Maxim Love, a representative Mecena activity of Dongseo Food, has provided new instruments and supplies to orchestras in elementary schools across the country for 17 years, starting with the Busan Boys' House Orchestra in 2008.
This year, the scent of Maxim's love selected Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School as the beneficiary and provided new instruments such as violins and cellos worth about 38 million won and music education equipment. In addition, violinist Kim Da-mi, who appeared at the East-West Coffee Classics, and members of the Gongju Chungcheongnam-do Symphony Orchestra visited the musical instrument delivery ceremony held at Daejeon Dongdo Elementary School on October 31 to guide the performance of musical instruments.
Dongseo Food holds the largest female new literature award in Korea, the 「Scent of Life Dongseo Literature Award」 every other year and serves as a gateway for new writers. From the end of May this year, the 17th East-West Literature Prize of the Fragrance of Life hosted a total of four categories of works, including poetry, novels, essays, and children's literature.
More than 18,000 East-West Literature Awards were submitted with great interest from prospective writers, and 484 were selected as the final winners after screening. The grand prize was awarded to Kim Eung-sook's novel 'Bungee Jump'. The grand prize and the winner of the gold prize will be given the privilege of being included in the December issue of the comprehensive literary magazine 『Monthly Literature』 along with the prize money and the qualification to join the Korean Writers Association. In addition, works that have won prizes for statues or higher will be included in the 『The 17th Fragrance of Life East-West Literature Award』.
