Ediya Coffee's New Step to the World

Dec 24, 2024

Edita Coffee, Korea's leading coffee brand, opened its first store 'Malaysia Elmina Branch' in Elmina, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on December 19, and began targeting overseas markets in earnest.

Based on the experience of Korean Ediya Coffee and the know-how accumulated at the U.S.-based Micronesia Mall in Guam, 20 years after opening its Beijing branch in 2005, the opening of the Malaysian coffee market is expected to lead the Malaysian coffee market as in Korea.

In particular, the entry into Malaysia was made through the brand's first master franchise contract, and it plans to introduce an operational strategy optimized for the local market to promote the status of Korean coffee.

Elmina is a representative satellite city in Kuala Lumpur and is known as a business district with a particularly large floating population due to its good accessibility.

Ediya Coffee Elmina is a two-story store in the form of 'Drive-through', creating a comfortable casual lounge-like Ediya Coffee interior concept based on a beige-toned finish.

In addition to menus using tropical fruits such as coconuts, drinks that can give you a Korean charm such as 'Sikhye' and 'Baked Sweet Potato' will be introduced.

In the bakery section, 'K-specialized menu' will be operated to target local customers with differentiated elements.

In addition, Ediya Coffee will also introduce high-quality distribution products such as mixed coffee, stick coffee, RTD (Ready-to-Drink), and RTÉ (Ready-to-Eat), which are distribution products of Ediya Coffee, and promote global expansion in earnest. Through this, we plan to focus on delivering the essence of Korean coffee culture in the global market beyond simply operating stores.
