According to Chinese media such as Sina Finance, A, a man living in Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province, recently asked his wife to divorce him in disguise due to the company's management. He urged a divorce, saying that he could lose all his fortune when he was on the verge of bankruptcy.
At the same time, he promised to give 12.4 million yuan (about 2.49 billion won) out of 13.7 million yuan (about 2.75 billion won) to his wife.
Eventually, the couple went through divorce proceedings on the grounds of 'husband's marriage denial and relationship breakdown'. At the time, the wife told the court that she received 8 million yuan (about 1.6 billion won) in compensation and property division.
Since then, the company has been out of the management crisis and concerns over bankruptcy have been resolved. It also recovered 8 million yuan that it did not receive from the trading company.
In response, the wife demanded a reunion, but A continued to avoid it and refused.
