A female city council member of a Japanese local government is under fire for going on a rampage, such as assaulting medical staff at a hospital while drunk.

According to Japanese media, including TV Asahi, a woman was reported lying drunk on a road in Tsushima, Aichi Prefecture, on the 13th. Yumiko Matsui (48, a member of the Japanese Communist Party), a city council member in the region. At the time, she was drunk and had a cut on her chin.

As a result, the paramedics transferred Senator Matsui to Tsushima City Hospital, and when the medical staff tried to examine her, she suddenly grabbed the doctor's gown to the point where she tore it and threw a thermometer.

He also kicked nurses and paramedics who were holding it back. The nurse had injuries to the chest and other areas and had to be treated for more than 1 week.

Matsui, who was elected as a city council member for the first time last year, reportedly drank too much at a meeting with his friends on the same day.

She said "I don't remember anything. I'm really sorry," he said.

The Japanese Communist Party's Aichi Prefectural Committee said "We are discussing disciplinary action internally and very heavy punishment will be imposed." The three victims of the assault received reports, and police are investigating allegations of assault and injury.
