A 23-year-old woman named Bella was diagnosed with endometriosis earlier this year and recently visited a hospital in Cleveland, U.S., to remove a cyst.
Endometriosis is a disease in which endometrial tissue adheres to tissues other than the uterus and proliferates.
The most common symptoms include pelvic pain, vaginal bleeding, and pain during sex.
Bella decided to remove a uterine cyst at the hospital.
But when he woke up from anesthesia, the medical staff said "I had an appendectomy."
Doctors said that endometriosis did not spread to the appendix, but explained that the appendix was removed as a precaution.
In addition, the medical team has already warned that endometriosis can spread to the appendix, bladder, colon, or uterus, and explained that they have obtained consent for surgery for organ extraction if necessary.
However, Bella was puzzled, saying, `I heard that there was no later transition.'
The video, which Bella posted on TikTok, attracted attention enough to have more than 500,000 views.
