Machang Bridge Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Sung-hwan) delivered a donation of 10 million won to Changwon Himchan Hospital (Hospital President Sanghoon Lee) on the 2nd. Starting with 5 million won in 2019, it has donated 10 million won every year since 2020, and has been participating in the difficult neighborhood surgery cost support project for six consecutive years.
Changwon Himchan Hospital will support the cost of joint and spinal surgery for the vulnerable in Gyeongsangnam-do with the donations received. It plans to select low-income subjects in the region, such as those who need knee artificial joint surgery for end-stage degenerative arthritis, and provide up to 1 million won per operation, providing practical surgical benefits to 10 patients per year.
Bae (71), who recently underwent artificial knee joint surgery using a robot and is being hospitalized at Changwon Himchan Hospital, said he was satisfied with his condition after the surgery. Due to the severe degenerative arthritis, he was already recommended for surgery five years ago, but he only recently underwent artificial joint surgery due to the benefit of donations from Machang Bridge.
Machang Bridge delivered a total of 55 million won to Changwon Himchan Hospital, including donations this year, and 45 patients who were in the blind spot of medical welfare like Bae received surgery support and recovered their healthy daily lives.
For transparent business management, the two organizations share the status of the use of past donations and the progress report of the project, and maintain an organic partnership to continue the difficult neighborhood surgery cost support project.
