Orchard Musical Company's new 2024 musical 'Sipes' opened at Yes24 Stage 2 in Seoul on the 10th and finished its first week of performance successfully. The work was previously selected as the final six creative support projects after breaking through the highest competition rate ever at the 18th Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF), and it is a well-made creative musical that won three awards at the DIMF Awards by winning the Creative Musical Award, the Aseong Creator Award, and the Best Supporting Actress Award.
Musical 'Sipes' is a musical compilation of Albert Camus' 'The Stranger' with Greek mythology 'Sipes', and depicts the story of four actors abandoned in a collapsed world with no hope left. In particular, in Albert Camus' work 'The Stranger', it intuitively depicts the sadness and despair caused by the death of his mother, and the intense desire for life that he felt just before his death. While using Albert Camus' story of the Stranger, the work completed the unique message of the work by relieving the philosophical weight and adding a unique wit to the musical 'Sipes'.
