Netmarble Cultural Foundation-Coway Wins Seoul Mayor's Commendation for Developing Sports for the Disabled

The commendation was held by selecting people of merit to honor individuals or organizations who contributed to the development of sports for the disabled with passion and dedication throughout 2024. The Netmarble Cultural Foundation established the Netmarble Rowing Team in March 2019 and supports the promotion of sports for the disabled and long-term independence by providing a stable employment environment and systematic training opportunities for players who had difficulty concentrating on training due to poor conditions.
Major achievements include the establishment of the first disabled rowing team in the game industry, the creation of a systematic and stable training environment, the promotion of national prestige through the selection of national teams, and the contribution of improving disability awareness at home and abroad through various campaigns and promotions. At the event, Coway, a Netmarble affiliate, also received a commendation from the Seoul mayor side by side. Coway received the commendation in recognition of his contribution to sports development through the operation of the Blue Wheels Wheelchair Basketball Team and various social contribution activities through wheelchair basketball.
Founded in 2022 by Coway, the Blue Wheels Wheelchair Basketball Team is the only team operated by a private company among wheelchair basketball business teams, and is recognized as a prestigious wheelchair basketball team, winning all competitions this year, including the National Sports Festival for the Disabled.
Meanwhile, the Netmarble Cultural Foundation, which was launched in 2018 to expand the value of a healthy game culture, foster future creative talents, and spread sharing culture, announced that it is carrying out various and specialized social contribution activities centering on three areas: 'Creating Culture', 'Raising Talent', and 'Sharing Hearts'.
