Professor Kang Chang-hyun of Seoul National University Hospital elected the next chairman of the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery

Kang Chang-hyun, a professor of cardiovascular thoracic surgery at Seoul National University Hospital, was elected as the next chairman at the 56th Fall Conference of the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery. The term of office is two years from January 1, 2025.

Founded in 1968, the Korean Society of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery is an academic organization that continues active activities at home and abroad, including academic conferences, policy suggestions, and international exchanges with the aim of developing cardiovascular and cardiovascular surgery.

Professor Kang, who was elected as the 53rd chairman of the board, is an authority in the field of general chest treatment such as lung cancer. He is currently the president of the Korean Society of Thoracic Tumor Surgery, the director of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery at Seoul National University, and the chief professor of the Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery School at Seoul National University.




Professor Kang Chang-hyun said "We will do our best to promote the development and harmony of the Korean Society for Cardiovascular Thoracic Society and to improve patient safety and medical quality."
