Professor Lee Kwang-woo of the Department of Urology at Soonchunhyang University Bucheon Hospital has a Korean urination disorderHe was appointed as the first president of the Men's Urinary Function Research Association under the incontinence society. The term of office is two years until December 2026.
The Men's Urinary Function Research Group was established for the purpose of researching, treating, and preventing academic development and related diseases related to men's urination function. On November 23, a symposium commemorating its founding was held in the grand lecture room on the 6th floor of Korea University Medical School's First Medical Center. The symposium consisted of lectures on the treatment of men's incontinence, urethral stenosis, and prostatic hyperplasia, as well as discussing artificial sphincter surgery and prostate surgery.
As a urologist, the new chairman Lee Kwang-woo specializes in urological tumor surgery such as prostate cancer, kidney cancer, and bladder cancer, and prostate hypertrophy surgery, and Korean urination disorderHe has contributed to the development of the medical community by working at the Korean Society of Urology, the Korean Society of Urology Oncology, and the Korean Society of Urology and Gastroenterological Infections.
Chairman Lee Kwang-woo said, `Recently, the number of male patients complaining of urination disorders due to prostatic hypertrophy is increasing as we enter a super-aging society, and social interest and demand for men's urination function problems such as urinary incontinence after prostate cancer surgery are increasing"In the future, we will continue to conduct research activities that are helpful to both doctors who treat and patients who are treated through the Men's Urinary Function Research Society."
