This is because the story was made up falsely to increase the number of followers and increase the number of video views.
According to Hong Kong media South China Morning Post, Chinese influencer Yu posted a video online that says he needs to deliver a lot to feed his daughter delicious food.
He introduced that Chen's mother is raising her child alone because she left them behind.
To arouse the sympathy of netizens, he said, "I am delivering with my daughter, and I was able to process 43 orders to earn 300 yuan (about 60,000 won) a day to buy her delicious food" he insisted.
He also revealed that he accidentally injured his daughter's face while working.
At the same time, he asked viewers to tap 'like' on his video.
This brought in a total of more than 400,000 followers on social media 'Douin' and 'Kui Shou', produced more than 100 similar videos, and profited from live-streaming sales in the name of supporting her daughter's livelihood.
However, as some netizens raised suspicions, his lies were revealed.
According to the police investigation who received the report, he was not a delivery man and was not raising a child alone.
Chen's mother and his wife were also living together. The delivery man's uniform was purchased online.
He admitted to the police that he had made up a story to increase the number of followers and increase the number of video views.
Police said they sanctioned the man for disturbing public order, but did not disclose details of the punishment.
According to Chinese law, up to 10 days in detention and a fine of 500 yuan (about 100,000 won) can be imposed for deliberately disturbing public order by spreading scaremongering.
