According to Chinese media China News Weekly, a 55-year-old man living in Bayanur, Inner Mongolia's autonomous region, was released from prison on January 19 this year and re-incarcerated on October 12 while living with his family. Earlier in July 2022, he was sentenced to four years in prison on charges of extortion and false lawsuits. The first detention date was January 20, 2021, so January 2025 was scheduled to be released from prison.
However, he was released a year earlier because the court's date was incorrectly marked. The initial filing said he was detained on January 20, 2020.
A's wife visited the police station when her husband suddenly disappeared on October 13.
When he didn't come to work from the day before and couldn't contact him, his wife reported him missing out of anxiety.
According to the police, A has already been detained in prison.
My wife said "Didn't you finish your sentence?", but the prison only answered that it was only in accordance with the court's decision.
According to local media, the court explained that it was released early due to an error in date marking, and that it was re-injured according to the procedure for correcting it.
Netizens are saying "It's absurd. I can't believe you didn't even contact your family. We need to discipline the person in charge", It is true that he has to serve the remaining year of his sentence, but it is unfortunate.
