'Cinema Heavenly Immersive Special Exhibition-TO.TOTO' (hereinafter 'Cinema Heaven Special Exhibition') held a meeting on the G-floor of Galleria Fore in Seongsu-dong, Seoul on the 19th and told the story of the exhibition. Yang Joon-bo, CEO of Forest International, Federico Dalgas Pandolfini, CEO of Cross Media Group, and Michela Linda Magri, head of the Italian Cultural Center in Korea, attended the meeting.
'Cinema Heaven Special Exhibition' is an exhibition that recreates the world-famous movie 'Cinema Heaven' as a digital immersive exhibition. It was created in collaboration with exhibition agencies 'SOOP International' and Italy's immersive exhibition production company 'Crossmedia Group' and future media leading company 'Sangwha'.
Above all, the theme of 'Cinema Heaven' draws attention. Director Giuseppe Tornatore's film 'Cinema Heaven', released in Korea in July 1990, is a masterpiece of the world's film history that has been recognized for its cinematic quality by winning the 42nd Cannes Film Festival Jury Prize and the 62nd Academy Foreign Language Film Prize. The story of Toto, the main character of the movie,'s memories, growth, and love, and Ennio Morricone's OST still resonated with the public.
In particular, the cultural influence of 'Cinema Heaven' is constantly expanding, as it has been re-played for more than 30 years since its release and reinterpreted as various cultural contents such as classical concerts and film concerts. In addition, this exhibition also allows you to enjoy the movie 'Cinema Heaven' with your five senses, making you realize the content power of 'Cinema Heaven'.
Yang Joon-bo, CEO of Forest International, said "This exhibition was specially prepared to honor director Giuseppe Tornatore. It was designed not to stop with a K-culture, but to allow visitors to experience and feel it directly in the space. This special exhibition has immersive technology in stimulating the five senses. I tried hard to make you feel like a main character in the movie. I paid special attention to the musical part of director Ennio Morricone. So I also installed sound equipment that was not seen in ordinary exhibitions. I want you to feel the warmth and innocence and go away."
Federico Dalgas Pandolfini, CEO of Cross Media Group, said "'Cinema Heaven' was a very important film, but the film itself was in the past. It has not progressed at the moment. I thought about how to show this part to the generation of the present era once again. I was also worried about how to melt the Italian sensibility. When we proposed this exhibition, the Italian response was 'Why would you make it?It was . But I learned how much Koreans love this movie, and we decided to co-produce it together."
He then spoke with director Giuseppe Tornatore and discussed with director Ennio Morricone's foundation. We discussed what kind of cooperation we could get. They were also quite surprised to see such an exhibition in Korea. He lent us the movie props that were actually used during the exhibition, and we are grateful to those who lent us."
"I am grateful for this occasion," said Michela Linda Magri, president of the Italian Cultural Center in Korea. This exhibition is an immersive exhibition, and I hope many people feel like they have entered the movie. I think it is meaningful because I can re-examine the relationship between Korea and Italy. Although diplomatic relations have been established for 140 years, it is good that the exhibition allows the two countries to exchange. As with the current exchange between Italy and Korea, I hope there will be many exchanges in the future. I'd appreciate it if you could understand this exhibition and promote it well," he added.
'Cinema Heavenly Immersive Special Exhibition-TO.TOTO' will open for the first time in the world from the 20th to March next year at Galleria Fore in Seongsu-dong, Seoul
