Smilegate Korea Creative Content Agency signs MOU to use educational videos to revitalize inclusive game design education

Smilegate announced on the 23rd that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Korea Creative Content Agency (Kon Jin-won) to provide educational videos to revitalize inclusive game design education.

Under this business agreement, Conjinwon will use educational videos produced by Smilegate in the educational curriculum of the game human resources training institution 'Game Talent Center'. The educational video contains the concepts necessary for game makers such as game planners, developers, and designers to create content that considers various players.

Education is conducted in two courses: game diversity and game accessibility. Game diversity education provides a perspective to consider cultures and emotions in different regions with the 'inclusive lens' framework, and also presents the perspective needed to discover new materials, Smilegate said.

Game accessibility training focuses on the methodology that allows players with various physical constraints, such as visual, auditory, and self-impaired, to enjoy games without barriers. In addition, we introduce a design idea card that can be practically applied to games. Kim Nam-gul, head of the Game New Technology Division at Con Jin-won, said, `I hope that the trainees of the Game Talent Center will not only develop games but also grow into game professionals with wide and diverse perspectives.'

Smilegate Diversity and Inclusion CEO Baek Min-jeong said, "This educational video will present game creators with a view of the game from the perspective of various players. We will contribute to the continued growth of the Korean game industry as well as Smilegate based on the importance of inclusive customer experience."
