Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital acquires Grade 1 of 'Optitude Assessment of coronary artery bypass surgery'

Cheonan Hospital (Hospital Director Lee Moon-soo) affiliated with Soonchunhyang University announced that it was the only medical institution in Chungcheongnam-do that obtained the first grade in the 「9th coronary artery bypass surgery adequacy evaluation" conducted by the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
Coronary artery bypass surgery is a high-level cardiovascular surgery that facilitates blood flow by creating a detour using other blood vessels when the coronary arteries that supply blood to the heart are blocked or narrowed.
The evaluation was conducted among 92 medical institutions nationwide who performed coronary artery bypass surgery from October 2021 to September 2023.
Soonchunhyang University Cheonan Hospital scored high in all evaluation areas such as ▲ the number of CABG surgeries ▲ the total number of CABG surgeries using the endothoracic artery (IMA) ▲ the prescription rate of antiplatelet drugs at discharge ▲ the re-operation rate due to bleeding or hematoma after surgery ▲ the readmission rate within 30 days after discharge ▲ the mortality rate within 30 days after surgery ▲ the number of hospitalization days after surgery.
Director of the hospital Lee Moon-soo said, "We will firmly protect the cardiovascular health of local residents with local medical institutions centering on the cardiovascular disease center in Chungnam region."."
