A teenage boy's head was stuck in India with a long iron rod, but miraculously he saved his life.

According to local media, including the Karima Times, a 14-year-old boy was rushed to PGIMS Hospital in Rotak, Gujarat, India. The boy with a metal rod stuck in his left head was unconscious and in critical condition at the time.

Preoperative examination revealed that the iron rod had a fracture on the left side of the skull, and subdural and subarachnoid hemorrhage was also present.

The iron rod had to be removed very finely because even a slight mistake could have caused permanent nerve damage or death.

Using advanced imaging techniques and micro-surgical instruments, the medical staff was able to remove the iron rod in a matter of hours, reducing bleeding.

Within hours of the operation, the boy began to regain consciousness.

Medical staff explained that the boy's recovery was nothing short of a miracle given the severity of the injury and the complexity of the surgery.

A few days later, the boy recovered enough to recognize his family and medical staff and was able to walk normally.

On the day of discharge, the boy's parents thank the medical staff for saving his son and treating him without any side effects," he said.
