Ukraine said it has state-of-the-art laser weapons capable of shooting down an aircraft about 2km away.

According to foreign media such as the New York Post and Kyiv Post, Colonel Vadim Suharevsky, commander of Ukraine's unmanned systems unit, insisted at this week's European Defense Industry Conference that `we are the fifth country with laser weapons.' The laser weapon was named 'Tryzub'. It means 'tridental' in Ukrainian.

He explained that "This laser can shoot down an aircraft at an altitude of more than 2km"

However, detailed specifications such as the exact range, destructive power, and operational power of Trizub were not disclosed.

In addition, he said Ukraine is also developing a 'Queen Drone' program, a large aircraft carrier drone that can deploy small attack drones.

On the other hand, laser weapons are weapons that shoot high-power lasers at targets and destroy targets with high heat.

Once launched, the cost is low and precise, so many countries, including Korea, are developing and deploying them.
