Wargaming, a developer specializing in war games, reveals a new stillhunter set in the future battle for the first time in 10 years

'Going beyond the land, sea, and air to the future now!'

Wargaming, a development company specializing in strategic games, unveiled a new IP, 'Steel Hunters', at 'The Game Awards 2024' on the 13th.

'Steelhunter' is a free mechanical shooting game that combines battle royale and extension genres, and it is played by controlling the powerful mechanical giant 'hunter' to participate in the battle to achieve various goals, level up, and acquire equipment. Each Hunter has its own style of play, ability and progress system, allowing it to compete against opponents using a variety of strategies and tactics, from creation to showdowns, the company said.

Wargaming announced that over the past three years, it has developed 'Steelhunter' by combining elements from various genres through collaboration with studio developers from all over the UK, Guildford, and Prague, Czech Republic. Set in the future world, it tells the story of mankind fighting for survival after the catastrophic disaster. Hunter was created to secure a rare extraterrestrial resource called 'Starfall', but as companies and factions collide for control, they transform Hunter into a terrifying combat machine and use it in a race to conquer scarce resources on a ruined planet.

Wargaming develops and serves war games on land, sea, and air, including 'World of Tank' and 'World of Warship'. Among them, 'World of Tank' has been steadily gaining popularity for nearly 15 years since it was first released in 2010, and the aerial battle 'World of Warplane' has been in service in some areas due to high barriers to entry, but the 2015 Sea Battle 'World of Warship' has been living a long life for 10 years, continuing the popularity of 'World of Tank'.

Wargaming CEO Victor Kisley said "It's a tremendous moment for wargaming. We have established ourselves as a company that continues to deliver the joy of an immersive digital world to millions of gamers around the world. With "Stillhunter", we have moved beyond our limits and introduced something completely new and our goal is to develop the most exciting and engaging mechanical experience". 'Steelhunter' is available through closed-door tests that last only 10 days at the Wargaming Game Center and Steam.
