According to CNN and other U.S. media, a body was found in the landing gear space of United Airlines Flight 'UA202', which left Chicago on the 24th (local time) and landed at Kahului Airport on Maui Island, Hawaii.
The aircraft in question was a Boeing 787-10, with a body in the rear landing gear storage space of the plane.
United Airlines said "Landing gear storage can only be accessed from outside the aircraft"At the moment, it is not clear when and how the person approached the wheel well.'
Police are investigating the identity of the deceased.
On the other hand, people who try to smuggle themselves into the country often hide themselves in the space. However, it often fails due to a lack of oxygen due to high altitude and subzero temperatures. The space is also so small that it is much smaller than a car trunk. Therefore, when the landing gear is folded, the body may be pressed to death.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), more than 77% of those who attempted this method have died.
