The posthumous work of the late Lee Sun-kyun 'land of happiness' will be released following 'escape'.
On Oct. 26, 1979, a teaser trailer was released for the movie "The Land of Happiness" that tells the story of "Park Tae-joo" involved in the assassination of the president by orders from his superiors and a lawyer who entered the worst political trial in Korea while defending him.
The teaser trailer, released, begins with a copy of "1979 Presidential Assassination" with intense gunfire, drawing attention. Soon after, it shows three characters standing in an era of upheaval that penetrates 10.26 and 12.12 that shook the entire Republic of Korea. The images of the intelligence chief's accompanying secretary 'Park Tae-joo'(Lee Sun-kyun), who is tried for his involvement in the assassination of the president under the direction of his superiors, his lawyer 'Jeong In-hoo'(Cho Jung-seok), and the joint chief 'Jeon Sang-du'(Yoo Jae-myung), who is the center of huge power to eavesdrop on the trial in a closed room and control the outcome, raise questions about how the case will end.
'Land of Happiness' is a new work directed by Chu Chang-min, who directed 'Gwanghae, Man Who Became King' which drew 12.32 million viewers, and contains a solid story and heavy message that penetrates the times. As this work was created by cinematically reconstructing the hidden story behind historical events that everyone knows, expectations from prospective audiences are already gathering. In particular, the scaled court scene in the teaser trailer and the appearance of "Jeong In-hoo" who is angry at the times and devotes all his energy to pleading make us more interested in how we would have solved the hottest trial story of the time, although we didn't know it. Director Chu Chang-min said, `There are many films of modern history that deal with 10.26 and 12.12, but if you look at it from the perspective of what is another story about the contemporary period, you will be able to feel new fun.'
Released a teaser trailer that amplifies curiosity about the movie, 'Land of Happiness' is scheduled to be released on August 14.
