'My boyfriend'→'Queen of Tears'→'Hairaki'..Studio Dragon's 3rd consecutive global box office hit



From 'Marry My Husband' to 'Queen of Tears' and 'Hairaki', Studio Dragon has made three consecutive hits.

Produced by Studio Dragon, 'Marry My Husband' has been in the top 10 rankings for 27 weeks so far since it ranked No. 1 on Amazon Prime Video's global daily TV show in January. Since Amazon Prime Video launched its global service in 2016, it is the first time that K-drama has ranked No. 1 in the global rankings.



Then in March, 'Queen of Tears' rose to the top of the world. "Queen of Tears" not only ranked No. 1 in tvN's all-time ratings with an average of 24.9% in the final episode, but also ranked No. 1 in the Netflix Global TOP10 non-English TV category three weeks after the broadcast. So far, 'Queen of Tears' has been on Netflix's list of K-drama hits representing 2024 with 15 consecutive weeks of TOP10 rankings and accumulated 43 million viewers (view time divided by the total running time of the work) and 653.9 million viewers.

Studio Dragon's march to No. 1 in the world was inherited by 'Hairaki', which deals with the addictive high-teen scandal. The Netflix series 'Hairaki' started in the second place in the Netflix Global TOP10 non-English TV category in the first week of June, the first week of its release, and reached the top of the chart in the second week. 'Hairaki' is drawing attention as it ranked first in a total of nine countries, including Hong Kong, Singapore, and Indonesia, and entered the top 10 in a total of 72 countries.



Studio Dragon plans to target domestic and foreign drama fans with works that combine both productivity and box office success in the second half of the year.

First of all, the political series starring Seol Kyung-gu and Kim Hee-ae, which was produced as a Netflix series, was released worldwide in late June, followed by the season 3 of "Sweet Home," which marked a milestone in the Korean creativity, and the season 2 of "Gyeongseong Creature," which moved from 1945 to Seoul in 2024, will be released on Netflix in the second half of this year.

Also, Shin Ha-kyun, who is drawing attention for his fresh material of the corporate audit team, and tvN 'Thank You', a full-fledged office clean play starring Lee Jung-ha, tvN 'Mom Friend Son', a romance drama starring Jeong Hae-in and Jeong So-min, tvN's 'Jungnyeoni' featuring Kim Tae-ri, a female Gukgeuk, the original TV series 'Good or Bad Dongjae' starring Lee Joon-hyuk, and the Genie TV original 'To My Harry' starring Shin Hye-sun and Lee Jin-wook are set to be released in the second half of the year.
