Comedy national team 'Gag Concert' will have a comedy-Korean match in Japan.

KBS2 'Gag Concert' said on the 10th that the performance of 'Gag Concert in JAPAN' will be held at Jeff Haneda, the venue in Tokyo, Japan, on September 5th.

"Gag Concert in JAPAN" is the first performance by the Korean comedy god representing the Korean comedy god "Gag Concert" abroad in its 25-year history, and will be held in the form of a comedy competition between Korea and Japan in collaboration with Yoshimoto Heungup, Japan's largest comedian management company.

'Gag Concert' targets local audiences with stylish corners such as 'How about Defconn', 'Shimgok Police Station', 'Let's not be a communication king's grandmother', 'Let's talk duo Comedy Inz', and 'You know, right?' On top of that, 10-member male idol N.SSign will appear as a special guest to help.

In Yoshimoto's Heungup, strong comedians, such as Yasumura Tonikaku Akarui, the finalist of the comedy contest 'R-1 Grand Prix', COWCOW, a duo famous for yakuza gags, Koikuchi Ichigawa, who appeared on the popular British TV show Britain's Got Talent in 2023, and Wes-P, the master of physical comedy, will represent Japan.

The performance, which lasts about two and a half hours, features a total of 14 to 16 corners by representative comedy players from both countries. 'Gag Concert' plans to install LEDs for interpretation subtitles at the site to break down the language wall and create a time for both countries to become one with laughter.

An official of the `Gag Concert' said, `I think the era of K-comedy will come after K-pop and K-drama,' adding, `We will open up the possibility of a new global comedy format through laughing face-to-face confrontations between Korean and Japanese comedy players" he said.

Meanwhile, 'Gag Concert in JAPAN' is scheduled to air on KBS2 in September.
