A fresh meeting between Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun, directed by Lee Eon-hee of 「Detective: Returns」\'Missing: Missing Women\', has made it a splendid feat to be officially invited to the 49th Toronto Film Festival, which will be held from September 5 to September 15, along with the confirmation of its release on October 2.
The Toronto Film Festival, which is considered one of the world's four major international film festivals along with the Cannes Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and Venice International Film Festival, is the largest film festival in North America where various genres and styles of popularity and cinematic quality are invited, and North American film industry officials participate.
The Special Presentation section, named by the 'Loving Law in the City' section, introduces new works by world-class directors and actors, and has been invited to feature works that have captivated both critics and the public, including Bong Joon-ho's 'Mother'(10) 'Parasite'(19), Park Chan-wook's 'Mrs'(16), Kim Ji-woon's 'Secret'(16), and Ryu Seung-wan's 'Mush'(23).
Giovanna Fulvi, senior programmer and guest manager at the Toronto International Film Festival, said "The Loving Law of the City" convincingly solved the journey of finding individuals and their selves in the stream of social norms. Completed with director Lee Eon-hee's delicate production and acting skills of Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun, the work captures emotional consensus, youth, identity, and complex exploration of love with a fascinating perspective. We are very happy to be the first to screen 'The Big City's Love Act' through the Toronto Film Festival, raising expectations for a story that will provide a cross-border consensus as well as an acting ensemble of attractive characters.
The Law of Love in the City will debut to filmmakers around the world through the official screening of the Toronto Film Festival on Sept. 13.
A film adaptation of Park Sang-young's best-selling original book of the same name, 「The Law of Love in the Large City」 depicts their own way of love between a free soul woman who has no way of looking at her and a man who knows how to hide her birth secrets. Kim Go-eun and Noh Sang-hyun appeared, and director Lee Eon-hee of 'Missing: The Missing Woman''Detective: Returns" took the megaphone. It will be released on October 2.
