Actor Joo Ji-hoon (42), who struggled with pain in his shoulder to inflammation of his salivary glands, once again aimed at the summer market.

Joo Ji-hoon, who played Jo Park, a Lexa knight who aims for a shot in life in the disaster movie 「'Escape'」 (hereinafter 'Escape', directed by Kim Tae-gon, produced by Vlad Studio). He met with Sports Chosun in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 10th and expressed his affection and passion for the work from the moment he appeared in Escape.

A series of crashes in thick fog and stories of people struggling to survive out-of-control military experimental dogs released on the airport bridge on the verge of collapse Escape was the first runner of this summer's tentpole movie.

As everyday spaces turn into nightmare scenes and friendly beings turn into threats, Escape' creates a unique mood different from existing disaster movies, amplifies tension through the increasing difficulty of disasters, and makes viewers sweat.

In particular, Joo Ji-hoon draws attention by making a drastic transformation into a free-spirited Lexa driver wandering on the road aiming for a life jackpot in 'escape'. Long hair fluttered among survivors struggling to survive on the airport bridge just before the collapse, giving the movie a pleasant boost. Jung Won (Lee Sun-kyun), the administrator of the security office trapped in the airport bridge, and Dr. Yang (Kim Hee-won), a senior researcher at Project Silence, worked together and completed a different team play.

On this day, Joo Ji-hoon "I always think planning intentions are important. This movie is a popcorn movie. Although I have been meeting the work, I think I wanted to meet the audience with popcorn when I chose the work. In addition, Jo-bak plays a lot of functional roles in the work. I like that kind of character. I don't know why, but I think I was attracted to that character at that moment"I've always been interested in the system of filming. Dexter Studio made 'Along With God' and don't you know how they work? Some directors risked their lives on-site recordings to capture the sense of reality, but Dexter Studio was the opposite. Dexter Studio focuses on post-recording like an animation. I already knew that I was able to get help in the technical area at the time of 'Along with God', so I acted more without hesitation in the field. But I changed my tone completely during the Hoosie recording. It was a character that could breathe to the audience, but my tone didn't match at the scene. I saw the filming on the scene and he was running away from the play. I don't think I'm wrong, but I wanted to approach the audience more comfortably. So I almost changed my tone. It was a work that was very old" he said.

As for the character of Park Jo, Joo Ji-hoon "Park Jo was more individualistic than others. He has some bravado and vitality. Considering this friend's age, it reminds me of the older brothers who used to work at gas stations that I saw as a child in the early 90s. Rather than thinking about the world and fairy tales, the image of living in one's own world came to mind. Coach Kim Tae-gon also said with a smile, "At first, I was worried that my visual was too unconventional."

He thinks `prejudice is not bad. If you make good use of preconceived notions, you may have universal ones and can shock the other way around. Of course, at first, I was prejudiced against myself, so the costume team brought fashionable clothes. But I didn't think it would suit the character if I wore such a costume.. I tried to wear a more realistic outfit because Jo Bak might look too trendy," he added.

He also revealed an episode of the movie about a scene in which he held a drink and fired a fire to block a military dog. Joo Ji-hoon "I fired a fire, and the car driver who was helping the scene was surprised to see me. Maybe because I'm a beginner, I think I filmed it with much more tension than I thought. Alcohol burned into the salivary glands and caused inflammation. Of course, I could have done it with CG, but I'm not good at mime acting. There's an act I want, but I can't do it with a fake one. When I was young, I watched a car show and imitated it with curiosity, so I had a feeling. Still, it could be dangerous. I tried to work hard, though."

Joo Ji-hoon said that the scene where he struggled by crumpling himself into the trunk despite being 188 centimeters tall was also not easy. He "I was so surprised that I had to get into the trunk on the scene and act. On the one hand, I was shooting a summer blockbuster, and I couldn't understand that everything else was CG, but not as much as a trunk"It was really physically difficult to get into the trunk and act. I filmed that scene for five days. I felt sorry for Jodie the dog as well as me. Don't we usually get numb if we do our legs for a long time? It was just like that. I thought my shoulder was breaking. The trunk scene wasn't an action sum, it was just harder when the pain I had to deal with actually came."

He "Of course, you can ask the field for understanding that it's hard, but isn't everyone hard and tired?" I couldn't bear to complain in it. Curiously 'I'll try it' he acted. I'm in a position to take responsibility, but I can't say I can't. What's the face. Still, foreign correspondents were curious about how they filmed it at the Cannes Film Festival. It's rewarding when you're curious about technical perfection"He meant it.

Joo Ji-hoon also reflected on his last breath with the late Lee Sun-kyun. Earlier, Lee Sun-kyun died on December 27 of that year while under police investigation after being booked on charges of marijuana enjoyment under the Narcotics Control Act in October last year.

Joo Ji-hoon "Doesn't each actor have his own style? Some actors have to spend time alone to be good, while others cheer up when they all hang out together. In that part, Lee Sun-kyun and I hit it off well. We weren't in our own rooms in the middle of filming. It seems that we kept talking and kept talking and working together until the set time for filming. I could feel that he was in sync"However, Sun-kyun is more detailed than I am. I think it's very similar but different. I was the type to watch, and Sunkyun put a lot of importance on detail and probability. It's fun to see the same job as me but different from me, and that was Sun-kyun's brother. They are the same actors, but they learned and observed. I wanted to absorb Sunkyun's part that I don't have," he added.

Regarding the posthumous work of Lee Sun-kyun 'The Escape' is actually not particularly approaching (because of a series of events). As an actor, I do my best in every movie. You can't turn back time, can you? It's always precious and that kind of heart. Sun Gyun was a good colleague, a good senior, and an actor. He has a good memory"I'm doing my job by promoting it hard because it's a work I've worked hard on. Our movie has a lot of fun parts, so I'm trying to come forward and let them know."
