In the third episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Thank You' (scripted by Choi Min-ho/director Kwon Young-il, Joo Sang-gyu/planned studio Dragon/production by Philcon Studio), Shin Cha-il (played by Shin Ha-kyun), who was tracking the reality of embezzlement in the home improvement project, was interrupted by the vice president Hwang Dae-woong (Jin-gu), who tried to cover it up, raising tensions.
Accordingly, the ratings of tvN 'Thank You' three times averaged 5.7% and up to 7% based on the metropolitan area, and 5.3% and up to 6.4% based on the national average. Both the metropolitan area and the nationwide standard ranked first in cable and general service channels at the same time (based on paid platforms integrating cable, IPTV, and satellite/provided by Nielsen Korea).
Shin Cha-il detected the corruption situation of the union leader who promoted the sharing housing maintenance project and launched an audit. Yoo Mi-kyung (Hong Soo-hyun), the head of the housing business department who approved the project, was subject to the audit, but Yoo Mi-kyung only repeated that she was deceived by the union leader throughout the interview. The audit was difficult because no charges were found in the details of corporate credit cards or the testimony of employees of the housing business department.
Yoo Mi-kyung tried to change her words by mentioning her relationship in college, but Shin Cha-il emphasized that she was being interviewed and thoroughly distinguished between public and private affairs. Even though Yoo Mi-kyung even filed a complaint with the Ethics Committee against Shin Cha-il for sexual harassment, she accelerated the collection of evidence, believing that Yoo Mi-kyung's actions were false to delay the audit.
Shin Cha-il noticed that Yoo Mi-kyung and Oh Chang-sik (Park Wan-kyu), the union leader, were members of the same mountaineering club and found out that her ex-husband Kang Myung-chul (Lee Shin-ki) had embezzled in the same way. In addition, it shocked viewers when it was revealed that Yoo Mi-kyung, who planned to leave for the Florida branch with embezzled money, staged a self-criticism of sexual harassment to avoid audit until the departure date.
However, after a persistent chase, Shin Cha-il finally succeeded in finding Oh Chang-sik, the union leader, secured evidence of the crime, and found a clue to arrest the embezzlement criminal. Just in time, Han Jin-soo (Lee Jung-ha) and Yoon Seo-jin (Cho A-ram) also prepared to prove Yoo Mi-kyung's allegations when they obtained testimony that local children saw Kang Myung-chul coming out of the union leader's house.
However, contrary to Shin Cha-il's expectations, the audit was on the verge of fizzling out as President Hwang Se-woong (Jeong Moon-sung) handed over the case to Vice President Hwang Dae-woong. Hwang Dae-woong, who was excited to hear from his employees that Shin Cha-il and Yoo Mi-kyung's relationship was unusual, decided to remove Shin Cha-il, which was a thorn in his side.
Hwang Dae-woong persuaded Hwang to send Yoo Mi-kyung to the Florida branch to cover up the case because the embezzlement of the home improvement project could not avoid a blow to the company's image and the relationship with the vice minister of land could also deteriorate. He was then delegated the authority of the audit office to Hwang Se-woong and established himself as a new opponent.
Despite such sabotage, Shin Cha-il confronted Hwang Dae-woong's order to stop the investigation because he could not forgive Yu Mi-kyung, who thoroughly utilized the beliefs of the members in a difficult situation. In response, Hwang Dae-woong issued an ultimatum to Shin Cha-il, saying, `You're fired.' I wonder if Shin Cha-il will be able to realize justice by catching the embezzler who made small citizens cry.
The fourth episode of tvN's Saturday-Sunday drama 'Thank You' will air at 9:20 p.m. on the 14th, where the audit team leader Shin Ha-kyun will continue to thoroughly audit to punish embezzlement criminals Hong Soo-hyun and Lee Shin-hwa.
