At the 2024 Paris Olympics, South Korea's archery ended the tournament with a phenomenal record of winning all events. MBC commentator Jang Hye-jin, who vividly conveyed the moment of glory in Paris, expressed her feelings after all the broadcasts of the competition.

To explain MBC commentator Jang Hye-jin's broadcast in one word is 'closeness'. This is because it was well received for broadcasting with warm affection for junior athletes who played with their vivid experiences as Olympic medalists who felt both the burden of the Olympics and the glory of the gold medal.

If the arrows of South Korean players succeed in aiming for 10 points, they will share their joy by shouting "10" in a loud voice and "13" in a series of 10 points!Commentator Jang Hye-jin, who even made viewers hold their breath by shouting ," captivated viewers with her unique friendly charm. In particular, he doubled the tension by holding his breath and controlling his mind as if he were in the stadium at the moment he pulled the arrow, and when he confirmed the victory, he played a decisive role in leading the MBC archery broadcast with a commentary that breathed and empathized with viewers.

In response, commentator Jang Hye-jin, who finished the archery broadcast at the competition, thanked the viewers and delivered a question-and-answer with behind-the-scenes stories in Paris.

▶This Olympics was also with MBC. How do you feel after the archery broadcast for this competition?

- It was my first time to comment on the site, so I thought there would be difficulties, but it was good that MBC applied without any inconvenience. There were some couples who had a hard time due to their long journey schedule, but I was grateful to be able to come back to the Olympic site as a broadcaster rather than an athlete and have a good experience. It was a great honor for me personally to be able to be together on the historical day of all archery in Korea.

▶In this competition, you worked with Kim Sung-joo and Kim Na-jin, how was your chemistry?

- Castor Kim Sung-joo was a little burdened at first, but he was able to broadcast it too happily thanks to his witty and witty progress. Castor Kim Na-jin seems to have been comfortable because he has met several times through interviews and filming in other media before. Thank you for being so considerate of me even during the broadcast.

▶I think there was a difficulty because of the strong sunlight during the local broadcast, but how is the atmosphere in the Olympics? Was there anything difficult during the broadcast?

- I was embarrassed because the situation in the stadium booth was worse than I imagined. I couldn't escape the sun throughout the game because there was no shield, and after it was over, my scalp was ripe. Still, I was grateful that the MBC staff prepared umbrellas and took care of me, so I was able to finish it well. As I explained on the spot, I sat for hours unable to move and was very nervous, so after the broadcast, I had muscle pain all over my body. However, it was very touching to watch the game in person on the spot. I think it will be memorable for a long time.

▶In this competition, South Korea's archery has set many great records. What's your most memorable moment (game)?

- When I won 10 consecutive women's teams, I cried more than I did when I won an Olympic medal. It is memorable because it is such a great record. I was so proud to think that all three players won 10 consecutive medals while playing under a lot of pressure.

And I think the most impactful game was the scene where Kim Woo-jin shot a perfect 10 points with Brady Allison in the final of the last men's individual competition. It might be memorable because it was the last broadcast (laughs). It was the Paris Olympics, where there were many scenes of shooting 10 points at the moment of crisis. So the athletes' medals look bigger.

If you watch the ▶ broadcast, you can feel the strong relationship with junior players. I feel that I have a deep affection for my junior players, what do you want to say to the players who finished all the games in this tournament?

- Since they were juniors who had trained together since their active days, they were more affectionate. Before the competition, I told them not to feel pressured and enjoy it without regret, but as I said, I would like to thank my proud juniors for their wonderful performances at the Paris Olympics. Also, since the Olympics are over, I want to tell you not to think about anything and enjoy the present to your heart's content.

▶There are many viewers who chose MBC to watch commentator Jang Hye-jin's broadcast. Please say something to the viewers who cheered for us.

- In fact, he said he was preparing a lot for this Olympics commentary, but it still seems to have been insufficient. Nevertheless, I was so grateful that many people said they enjoyed watching it and that they did well, and I wanted to work harder and repay them with better commentary. Due to the nature of the archery event, I think a lot of words will interfere with viewers' watching the game. In addition, even if I wanted to explain the technical parts, it was not easy to set the timing of talking while working with the caster. I'm trying to say everything I've prepared, so my words get twisted a lot. And I think when I look at the players standing in the stadium, the thoughts I had as a player come out naturally. Thank you for liking those parts. I was grateful to be able to comment on archery at the Paris Olympics with MBC.
