In the fifth episode of tvN's Monday-Tuesday drama "Is It a Coincidence?" (directed by Park Groh-no, Song Hyun-wook and Jung Kwang-sik), the hearts of Lee Hong-joo (Kim So-hyun) and Kang Ho-young (Chae Jong-hyeop) finally met like fate. The hot kiss ending, which confirmed each other's hearts, also ignited the hearts of viewers.
On this day, Lee Hong-joo was embarrassed by the unexpected kiss with Kang Ho-young. In Lee Hong-ju, who is trying to dismiss everything as a joke, Kang Hu-young said "Never was a joke. Even now, 10 years ago. I liked you, I liked you, I liked you, and I liked you, he said, expressing his long-held heart. Kang Hu-young gave Lee Hong-joo, who drew the line saying she would never like it, homework to think carefully about whether we are really friends. After their first kiss, Lee Hong-ju and Kang Ho-young fell into their own troubles. Kang Hu-young, who had to return to the United States, was deeply troubled by his uncle's remarks that there was no guarantee that it would work out well with Lee Hong-ju. Lee Hong-joo also had an urgent day to block and avoid all accidental encounters with Kang Hu-young in a chaotic mood.
Lee Hong-ju's operation to avoid Kang Hu-yeong did not last long. Kwon Sang-pil (Lee Won-jung), a friend of the two, decided to go on an improvised sea trip. As such, Lee Hong-joo sat next to Kang Hu-young and went on a trip without hiding his awkwardness. However, such awkward air disappeared as if washed in front of the tidal flat. The two, who were trying to hold the octopus together, quickly lost their balance and fell. Lee Hong-joo and Kang Hu-young, who collapsed on the tidal flat with their bodies folded, met eyes, and a strange atmosphere flowed between the two against the sunset. The dizzying and short tidal flat date between the two ended as embarrassed Lee Hong-joo covered Kang Hu-young's mouth and stood up.
And Lee Hong-ju had a long dream at the end of a hard trip. It was a dream about the separation of his mother, who left home for young Lee Hong-ju, his aunt, who turned her back cold, and his first love, Bang Joon-ho (Yoon Ji-on), who left Lee Hong-ju without any explanation. The cold and sudden separation from loved ones was a great trauma for Lee Hong-ju. Lee Hong-ju woke up with footage of Kang Hu-young also leaving him to board a flight to the U.S.
It was Kang Hu-young who appeared in front of Lee Hong-ju, who woke up alone in the accommodation where no one was present. "Don't go. I don't want you to go to the U.S.," Lee Hong-joo said, expressing her true feelings for the first time. Kang Hu-young answered that he was not going without any hesitation, reassuring Lee Hong-ju's anxiety about his past memories. Lee Hong-joo's straightforward move surprised everyone. He approached Kang Hu-young with the words "no bite" and kissed her first. As if to respond to Lee Hong-joo's courage, who tried not to know how he felt toward Kang Ho-young, the two people's deep kisses gave viewers a deep excitement.
Meanwhile, the mixed memories of 19-year-old Lee Hong-ju and Kang Hu-young caused regret. The two, who had been close since the delivery of the love letter, shared memories of their male mother in Cheorwon, had to say goodbye without a promise due to Kang Ho-young's sudden immigration to the U.S. The narration of 29-year-old Lee Hong-ju added to the news of Kang Hu-young's dropout over the devastated nineteen-year-old Lee Hong-ju, "You all know what the end of it is, but why are you all in pain?" evoked sentimental emotions.
In the epilogue, Bang Joon-ho, who secretly shed tears while leaving Lee Hong-joo, was revealed. Bang Joon-ho, who had no choice but to look at Lee Hong-ju's tears, said, `I will definitely write a great novel and come back. Please hold for a moment.," he sobbed. 'Is love changing. The narration, 'Does a person change?' made us wonder about the story of Bang Joon-ho, who had to leave Lee Hong-ju, foreshadowed a new variable.
