Busan International Film Festival selected the winner of the late Lee Sun-kyun Achievement Award..Hold a special exhibition of 'Good Man, Lee Sun-kyun'

The Busan Film Festival will screen six representative films of the late Lee Sun-kyun and also host special talks. Lee Sun-kyun's special exhibition, which has represented Korea with various and in-depth acting, will reflect on his acting life and achievements, while providing a meaningful place for remembrance. In addition, Lee Sun-kyun was named the winner of this year's Korea Cinema Award.
The Korea Film Achievement Award is an award given to filmmakers who have enhanced the status of Korean films and contributed to global growth, and will select Lee Sun-kyun, who was greatly loved by domestic and foreign film fans through various works, and host the award at the opening ceremony.

Director Hong Sang-soo's topical film of the Locarno Film Festival, featuring Lee Sun-kyun's energetic performance, will also be screened, as well as the Cannes Film Festival's weekly invitation to "Go to the End" that featured intense action and tense performances as an unscrupulous detective.
The drama 'My Mister', which impressed many people with its calm and warm acting, is also available on screen through this special exhibition. Produced by Studio Dragon 'My Mister' is a production that has received a lot of favorable reviews when it was aired in 2018 and remains the best drama of many viewers. Out of a total of 16 episodes, Lee Sun-kyun and Park Dong-hoon's emotions and breaths in the play he played were selected, and the fifth episode, episode 5, will be screened.
Director Bong Joon-ho's 『Parasite" (19), who won the Palme d'Or for the first time in Korea, won four gold medals at the Academy Awards in the U.S., and put Lee Sun-kyun at the peak of his acting career, and his posthumous work 『Land of Happiness』 (24), who played the role of an upright soldier involved in the presidential assassination.
Meanwhile, the 29th Busan International Film Festival will be held for 10 days from October 2 to 11 around the Seoul Cinema Center.
