Netflix and director Yeon Sang-ho make a series 'Gas Man' that makes a live-action version of the legendary film 'Gas Man No. 1' of Toho, Japan. Director Yeon Sang-ho joined hands with the executive producer and script, director Shinjo Katayama, and Shun Oguri and Yuu Aoi were cast together.

The original film 'Gas Man No. 1' is directed by Ishiro Honda, who gave birth to the film 'Godzilla', the beginning of the monster movie, and is a 1960 film produced by Toho, a traditional Japanese film company. More than half a century later, the movie 'Gas Man No. 1', which penetrates the dark side of the social structure into an entertainment element and sublimates it into an SF thriller, is still being talked about as a masterpiece.
