Aespa's Karina to Star in Mnet's 'My Art Film,' Bringing Noir Action to the Screen

On August 8th, Mnet's "MY ARTi FILM" announced that Karina from the popular K-pop group aespa will be joining the show. "My Art Film" is a unique performance series where artists take on roles in cinematic performances that blend various acting genres.

Karina will be exploring the noir action genre in her appearance on the show. Fans can look forward to seeing her in a new light as she portrays a 'girl crush' character involved in a high-stakes confrontation with an organization's boss. Karina expressed her excitement about the role, stating, "It was fun to have a different experience being the main character in a noir action movie that I usually enjoy watching. Since her debut with aespa in 2020, Karina has gained significant popularity, branching out into advertising and entertainment while continuing to excel as a singer. aespa, known for hits like "Next Level," "Spicy," and "Drama," has remained a top girl group and recently continued their success with the pre-release track "Supernova."
