tvN's new Saturday-Sunday drama 'Jeongnyeoni' (played by Choi Hyo-bi, directed by Jung Ji-in) depicts competition, solidarity, and brilliant growth over the poor but romantic era right after the Korean War in the 1950s.
Based on the Naver webtoon of the same name (writing/picture seire/namon), 'Jeongnyeoni' drew great attention even when the news of the production was known for its fresh material called Women's Gukgeuk (a branch of Changgeuk, which gained huge popularity around the Korean War in the 1950s, in which all women play roles), and its main character 'Jungnyeoni's journey to overcome her limitations and become a star of the Gukgeuk Company. Director Jung Ji-in, who won the 34th Korea PD Awards PD of the Year through the Red End of Clothes, will direct the movie, and famous actors such as Kim Tae-ri, who is well known as the muse of the original film, Shin Ye-eun (played by Heo Young-seo), Ra Mi-ran (played by Kang So-bok), Jung Eun-chae (played by Moon Ok-kyung), Kim Yoon-hye (Seo Hye-rang), and Moon So-ri (played by Seo Yong-rye) stood out as the best anticipated film in the second half of the year.
On the 21st, two kinds of posters set by the National Theater Company will be released, raising expectations. The released poster captures the appearance of five people who will play in the drama's main stage, the Guk Theater, and the best Korean theater company of the time, the Maeran Women's Guk Theater Company.
First of all, Kim Tae-ri transformed into a sound genius 'Yoon Jeong-nyeon' who came to Seoul as a blood-and-blooded actor in Mokpo, making viewers' hearts flutter, and Shin Ye-eun, who has a solid ability to sing, dance, and acting and a family background, shines her eyes and hopes for a rivalry with Kim Tae-ri in the play.
