Actor Jeon Jong-seo expressed his feelings about trying historical drama.

The production presentation of the original TVing series 'Queen Wu' (written by Lee Byung-hak, directed by Jeong Se-kyo) was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 27th. Director Jeong Se-kyo, writer Lee Byung-hak, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Moo-yeol, Jung Yu-mi and Lee Soo-hyuk attended the event.

Jeon Jong-seo said "The biggest thing was that he wanted my father to do this script. Second, while doing a historical drama, there was a point that I felt good about doing this historical drama. In one episode, I came to my senses while filming, and dozens of actors except me were all male seniors. That's why I'm the only female actor. So 'What's going on here?' That's what I thought. 'Oh, I'm playing a woman like this. There was a moment when I felt that she was this kind of woman. It seems that this woman has been seriously thinking about what kind of woman she was since then. And it's not that, but what I prepared before starting the script was the way I spoke in a historical drama. I have my usual way of speaking when I'm speaking, but I tend to take it as it is when I act in a slow, relaxed, and natural way of speaking, but I think there's a historical drama tone. I thought maybe I should postpone the historical drama like this. I prepared like that and went to the scene to film it, and I felt like I was speaking Chinese at the Hollywood scene in the United States. I feel like I'm speaking a completely different language, so I'm in trouble. I thought, 'I need to be something.' I wondered if historical drama tone was actually used by people of that era, or if it was a tone that was made and handed down by our seniors in Korea and used by our juniors now. I called my seniors I knew and asked for advice. I thought I had to find the middle of the historical drama tone and my way of speaking, so I coordinated it well.'

'Queen Wu' is a chase action historical drama in which Queen Wu (Jeon Jong-seo), who is targeted by princes seeking the throne and five tribes seeking power due to the sudden death of the king, struggles to establish a new king within 24 hours. Movie 'Oh! Director Jeong Se-kyo, who directed 'Moonhee', and Lee Byung-hak, the writer of 'Senator', joined forces. On top of that, Jeon Jong-seo, Kim Moo-yeol, Jung Yu-mi, Lee Soo-hyuk, Park Ji-hwan, and Ji Chang-wook will work together.

'Queen Wu' will release Part 1 on the 29th and Part 2 on September 12th.
