When Kim Min-kyung, a former member of the 'Practical Shooting National University' broadcasted, KBS's shooting ratings also topped the list

KBS continued its momentum of 'No. 1 shooting ratings' along with South Korea's shooting, which recorded the best record in the Olympics ever.

KBS2 broadcast live the men's 25-meter rapid fire pistol final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where South Korea's Cho Young-jae won a silver medal on the 5th (Korea time). The broadcast, featuring commentator Lee Dae-myung and Kwangyong Lee Castor, recorded 3.85% of viewership (Nilson Korea, national standard), ranking first in the game.

KBS attempted to differentiate itself by inviting Kim Min-kyung, a former entertainer from the 「Practical Shooting National Army" and dubbed the"Minkyung General" and"Exercise Genius" as a special commentator at the beginning of the competition.

Along with the success of Korean shooting, KBS shooting broadcasts were also more powerful, and Cho Young-jae's men's 25-meter rapid fire pistol final, the last Korean shooting match in this competition, was also recorded as KBS's broadcast of "1st ratings".

In addition, KBS dominated the viewership in fencing, where the duo of 「Original Avengers" such as Kim Joon-ho, who is a regular appearance on"Superman is Back" and Kim Jung-hwan, a gold medal member of the previous competition, served as commentators, and Yeo Hong-chul, Yeo Seo-jung's father, took charge of the negativity-filled"Dad commentary"."

KBS, which is captivating viewers in a variety of events at the 2024 Paris Olympics, will visit viewers with more differentiated broadcasts throughout the rest of the competition.
