Cha In-pyo, the reason for writing a novel by grandmother Japanese Military Sexual Slavery 'Sadness, anger, and emotion I can't calm down'('Uquiz')

Actor Cha In-pyo revealed how he came to write a novel about a grandmother in Japanese Military Sexual Slavery.

In the 259th episode of tvN 'You Quiz on the Block', which aired on the 28th, actor and writer Cha In-pyo, who captivated Oxford with his sincere writing, will appear.

Cha-in is a novel about a Japanese Military Sexual Slavery victim, and reveals the feelings of standing in a prestigious university denomination in England and the story of the Japanese emperor and his wife's visit to Oxford on the day of the lecture. First of all, he expressed his surprise by saying that his novel `If We Look at the Same Star someday' was selected as a required book at Oxford University in England.

At the same time, he smiled awkwardly, `It's awkward to call me Cha In-pyo writer.' Then "I got a call from a professor at Oxford University. He suggested that he wanted to use it for his master's and doctoral courses in the 3rd and 4th grades, so he said, "I said, 'Thank you.'" He said that if he is selected as a textbook, each college will have 43 books. Oxford also told a detailed behind-the-scenes story, saying that once the book is in, it can't be discarded at will, so I'm going to go see it next year."

He also explained how he came to write a novel. "On August 4, 1997, when I was watching the news live on TV at home, and when the door of the Gimpo Airport gate opened, a small grandmother walked out." He recalled "She was taken to Japanese Military Sexual Slavery in 1942 and returned to Korea for the first time in 55 years, but she forgot Korean. But he stuttered and sang 'Arirang'."

Also "Aren't many women experienced that?" Many emotions crossed my mind as I thought about the history. It was sadness, anger, and shame of failing to keep women. After months of being unable to calm down, he began by saying, `Let me try writing this as a novel.'

I was not good at writing novels in the early days. Cha In-pyo "I didn't know how to write a novel and didn't have any basic knowledge, so I started learning it late. I learned by myself, read composition books, and took online lectures."

He also mentioned his mother's words that allowed him to complete his novel after 10 years of hard work. Cha In-pyo "My mother farms, and when she comes back from farming, she sees my e-mail. I said in an e-mail, "'I've written this much, you're tired, but can you take a look at it?' And they asked a lot of questions."

Then "Inpyo, my mother said that imagination is important for a writer, but imagination that is not based on facts is like a result built on sand." It's become an evening of where to start."

Cha In-pyo, along with his wife, Shin Ae-ra, has been continuing his volunteer and donation activities. In particular, he drew attention by saying that he was volunteering at 'House of Sharing' to help grandmothers affected by the Japanese Military Sexual Slavery.

Cha In-pyo "It was the day photographer Cho Seon-hee volunteered to take a picture of the portrait. I watch it from the side, and if you die like this one by one, there is no one to tell me this story. Who's going to tell you next generation?' That's what I thought, and even if the grandmothers didn't receive an apology, I wanted to relax even in the book."
