"In a forest where there's no one" What's wrong with you. I watch it because I'm curious.

A suspense thriller about people whose serene daily life collapses due to a suspicious guest who comes in midsummer and gets caught up in an uncontrollable event. Prior to the public release of the new Netflix original series 'In the Forest Where No One' (played by Son Ho-young, directed by Mo Wan-il), the amount up to four episodes was pre-released to reporters. Along with the story of Yeong-ha (Kim Yoon-seok), the owner of a pension in the deep forest, and Sung-ah (Gomgosi), a mysterious guest who visited him, and the story of Sang-joon (Yoon Gye-sang) and his wife Eun-kyung (Ryu Hyun-kyung), who were running a motel, are presented at the same time, the story of Bo-min (Lee Jung-eun), who passed through all this time, stimulates curiosity.

The story goes on mysteriously throughout the fourth episode. As director Mo Wan-il previously explained, `It's a secret and breathtaking story unfolding in a forest where there is no one, and it's a story of people who are in a situation where they don't know what their future will be like, confronting their fate in their own way.' By the fourth inning, Young-ha and Sang-jun would act in the opposite direction about the same thing that happened before him and face the consequences. What happens to two people who make different choices in similar events is also an important plot of the story.

Because the story proceeds in an excessively mysterious atmosphere, viewers who watch it until the fourth episode may be somewhat slow to develop or find it difficult to grasp the psychology of the main characters. In particular, in the case of Yeongha and the Holy Father, most of the story unfolds through eye exchange and facial expressions, and the story may be considered somewhat slow because of the low amount of dialogue, but it is also attractive to evoke a strange tension. But because the story is drawn in cross-section "So what the hell is wrong with you?" Another point is that the same question arises constantly. Some expect dopamine, which will explode from the 5th to the 8th episodes, as Sung-ah, played by Ko Min-si, stacks up questions about why she is doing this four times.

The situation between Sang-joon and Eun-kyung is also breathtaking. When a mutilation murder occurs in a motel that he took over, his life is completely changed. Here, it shows a complete contrast to the sub-zero life that did not report the murder, and watching how disastrously this family collapses, I understand Sang-jun's desire to ask the killer "Why on earth did you do that?"

However, it is still questionable why they are showing their stories on a two-track basis until the fourth episode. Watching them develop the story together even though their stories don't seem to be particularly connected, some people said "Is this why Yun Kye-sang becomes Kim Yun-seok later?" You may have thoughts. However, since it is a completely separate story and takes place at different times, I hope that the reason for showing their stories after the fifth episode will only be explained.

The actors' performances were well incorporated into a mysterious atmosphere. Ko Min-si's acting puts pressure on the viewers to the point where she understands Kim Yun-seok's heart that chokes Ko Min-si under silence and pressure. His talent as an actor can create tension just by staring at something. Although he has already been recognized for his acting ability to win the Best New Actress award at the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards, it is not easy to clearly show the performance of a character with few emotional expressions. Attention is also focusing on how Worries will unfold the acting skills that have been accumulated closely through 's 'sweet home' and 'confidential'.

There is only one problem that has to be solved by in a forest where there is no one, how to solve the frustration of viewers in one moment with the build-up that has been slowly built up until the fourth inning. Viewers who have recently become accustomed to the fast tempo may feel somewhat frustrated because they are slow to develop, even if they look at the sub-zero expression they are receiving without knowing the English. Even the explanation is not friendly, so why on earth!to keep chanting " Therefore, the only disadvantage of this work is that only viewers who have been patiently watching until the fourth episode can drink this cider if the breathing hole is laid after the fifth episode. I wonder what it would have been like if this frustration had been cut within two episodes.

However, it is the ability of director Mo Wan-il and actors that made him see such unkind works such as 'In a Forest with No One' until the fourth episode in a row. Director Mo Wan-il is a master of directing who has already produced numerous works with dopamine bursting until the second half, such as 'The Couple's World' and 'Misty'. The reason why he arranged the eight-part drama like this is that 'belief' is a factor that makes him watch 'in the woods where there is no one'.

'In the woods where there's no one's around' will be released on Netflix on the 23rd.
