The movie I Hate Korea contains various stories of young people in their 20s.

On the afternoon of the 21st, a press and distribution preview of the movie 'I Hate Korea' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Actors Go Ah-sung, Joo Jong-hyuk, Kim Woo-gyeom, and Jang Geon-jae attended the scene.

『I Hate Korea』, which will be released on the 28th, is based on Jang Kang-myung's best-selling novel, which tells the story of Gina (Go Ah-sung) in her late 20s who suddenly leaves her job, family, and boyfriend for New Zealand alone one day in search of her happiness. Director Jang Geon-jae of the films 'Sleepy Night' and"Fantasia in the Midsummer' took the megaphone.

Director Jang, who directed the film, read the original work in the year it was published in 2015. After reading it for the first time, I had a gut feeling that I wanted to make a movie. Soon after that, I called the publisher and started looking for movie rights. Perhaps those who read the novel saw the story in Kye-na's first-person speaking style, but in the case of the movie, it was necessary to write and research the script because it had to create a realistic physical space with the surrounding characters. The original film covers about seven to eight years, so I had a question about how to deal with that time as well."

Previously, 'I Hate Korea' was selected as the opening film of the 28th Busan International Film Festival. Director Jang said "It was the same at the Busan International Film Festival last year, and the feeling that it is about to be released now feels like something has grown. In fact, it was a small and simple project, but I don't think I could handle it (laughs)."Asung actor couldn't attend the Busan International Film Festival, which was the most regrettable part for me and my team. The host of the opening ceremony was actor Song Kang-ho, so I thought it would be great if the two of you met. Also, the audience really wanted to see Ah-sung through GV, but it was impressive to be able to say hello over the phone" he recalled.

Go Go Ah-sung, who played the main character Gye-na, said "When I first received the scenario, I felt like I had to do it like the movie I've chosen so far. I felt like I would regret it forever if I missed it. I wanted to draw the exhausted image of a woman in her late 20s who had worked for about 7 years with the passion of a newbie in society"How he chose his work.

He then tried to make a visible change to capture years of experience in the acting-focused part. For example, I tanned for the first time because I thought that my skin would change if I lived in New Zealand. All the clothes I wore in the movie were purchased locally. The staff helped me a lot. Thank you.

Joo Jong-hyuk, who plays Jae-in, a colleague of Kye-na's study abroad and best friend, said, "(New Zealand) is where I actually studied abroad. The filming location was also the school I went to when I studied abroad, so as soon as I saw the scenario, I wanted to do it so badly. I thought I could express New Zealand students better than anyone else."

Regarding what he prepared for his work, he said, `When I first go to an academy like a language school, I have friends from various countries, and I made various references while thinking about them"Then I went to the (New Zealand) set and I had a friend when I was studying abroad. Listening to his life, I felt like the air I felt at that time was still in my body," he said.

Kim Woo-gyeom, who played the role of Gye-na's long-time lover, said "It was so good at the Busan International Film Festival, but it's so good to be with A-sung today. I'm so curious how the audience will see it. I'm nervous and excited at the same time because I think more people are watching the work. The Go Ah-sung actor is a senior and star I've always seen on TV and movies since I was young, so I was very nervous when I saw him in person, but he was more easy-going and cool than I thought, so I was comfortable when acting. When I was acting, I didn't put pressure on him and gave him confidence like this, so I felt comfortable as a fellow actor and a junior."

In particular, Goa-seong was scheduled to attend the 28th Busan International Film Festival with director Jang Geon-jae, Joo Jong-hyuk, and Kim Woo-gyeom to hold a press conference with outdoor stage personnel, but he was unable to attend the festival due to a fractured sacrum during his personal schedule.

In response, he "Last year, before going to work, I got my hair and makeup done at the shop and went down the stairs, and I fractured my tailbone and was hospitalized for about two months." When the work was selected as the opening film of the Busan International Film Festival, I was very happy and wanted to attend in a wheelchair. To go to Busan, I had to take a train or an airplane, but I couldn't sit down, so I couldn't join. I was fortunate to be able to participate in the conversation with the audience over the phone"He confessed.
