Director Lee said at the press and distribution premiere of the movie 'How to Love the City' held at Megabox COEX in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the afternoon of the 23rd, `Thank you to the local audience for saying a lot of good things"I sincerely hope that we can get such a response in Korea as well."
Released on Oct. 1, the movie is about Jae-hee (Kim Go-eun) of a free spirit who has no way of looking around and Heung-soo (Roh Sang-hyun), who is familiar with how to distance himself from the world, living together and playing their own love method. Director Lee Eon-hee of 「Lover the Shoulder」,"Missing: Missing Women" and"Detective: Returns" took the megaphone.
Director Lee, who directed the film, said, `The original short story had to be made into a feature film, so I needed a lot of it in terms of volume. I enjoyed the book, so I wanted to know more about Jaehee and Heungsoo, and I wanted to get closer to them and tell them a story that I could understand"It was basically based on a short story written by the artist, but I wanted to make a work by filling in the stories of the two of them."
The "Loving Law of the City" was officially invited to the presentation section of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival. Director Lee, Kim Go-eun and Roh Sang-hyun met global audiences on the red carpet before the world premiere on the 13th (local time). Director Lee said, "It was my first time meeting with a general audience in a foreign country before the movie's release, and I was very worried.""I made the movie thinking of Korean audiences at first, and thank you for saying such good words." I sincerely hope that we can receive such a response in Korea as well."
