KBS2's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 『GaeSori" (played by Byun Sook-kyung, directed by Kim Yoo-jin), which will premiere on the 25th, is a satirical comedy drama about the pleasant and dull old age drawn by seniors and former police dogs 『Sophie』.
'GaeSori' is one of the most anticipated works in the second half of 2024 due to its golden lineup of actors representing all generations, its unique subject matter of conversation with dogs, and the diversity of the genre of healing comedy dramas. Director Kim Yoo-jin, who directed the film, said "It is a work that many people, including Lee Soon-jae, actors, staff, and animal friends, went back and forth between Seoul and Geoje several times. I am very happy to see the results of the efforts through a public broadcasting channel that can be easily viewed by men and women of all ages, and I would like to share this joy with all members and express my gratitude", he expressed his feelings about the production.
Director Kim Yoo-jin said, "'GaeSori' is a drama that brings senior actors to the forefront. It's a common saying, but I wanted to convey the message that 'Age is just a number' and break the stereotype that we usually think about older people. The seniors of 'DogSori' sometimes seem immature, but they do their best to solve the problem, and they move forward through an emotional wave as much as the young ones. I hope that our elders will feel natural as my future self to viewers of different generations,' he explained his plan intention.
In addition, the drama's best points to watch were the performances of animals that shine \'Dogsori', a parade of comic acting full of inner workings by veteran actors, including five seniors, and acting with the fighting spirit of actor Lee Soon-jae who is fully old. In particular, the majority of the cast wanted to be with great significance in that it was a drama in which Lee Soon-jae played the main character. The fun and unique concept of the script itself may have played a part, but I would like to say that it is Lee Soon-jae's strength that 'Senior Avengers' has been completed"At the same time as revealing the behind-the-scenes story of the casting, he once again emphasized the potential of actor Lee Soon-jae.
Lastly, to the viewers waiting for the first broadcast, the title of our drama 'GaeSori' is literally 'What the dog says', but it is also used as a vulgar expression to refer to nonsense or useless words. The more comfortable they are, the more they tend to pour out this 'dog sound', and in that sense, I hope our drama will become a friend-like work that can comfortably exchange 'dog sound'. I also thought it could be a drama that the whole family can enjoy sitting around for the first time in a long time while filming, and I hope you will enjoy the harmony of friendly actors and lovely animals that have been loved for a long time," he said, leaving a message encouraging him to watch the show on time.
On the other hand, the drama 『GaeSori』, which was selected and produced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency, was written by Byun Sook-kyung, who wrote 『Nonstop 5" and directed by Kim Yu-jin, who was recognized by Asian viewers for his directing skills such as 『third person revenge" and 『Hoonnamjeongeum』.
