Instead of Yoo Ah-in, who started imprisonment due to drug scandal, Kim Sung-chul takes over 'hell'. 'Hell' Season 2 is set to be released next month.

Showing the pinnacle of the dystopian worldview, it not only topped the Golden Tomato Best Horror Series category in 2021, but also recorded 110 million viewers in 10 days of its release, making it to the top 10 in the series in 93 countries, receiving favorable reviews from viewers and critics around the world 'Hell' will return for season 2 on Oct. 25. Season 2 of 'Hell' is a story that takes place when lawyers Min Hye-jin of Sodo, Sajinnihoe, and arrowhead forces are newly intertwined over a world that has become more confused by the continued notice of hell.

The released launch trailer draws attention as it features the revival of 'Jung Jin-soo' (Kim Sung-chul), who received a demonstration to hell in season 1. The first chairman of the Saejin Council 'Jeong Jin-soo', who misled people by preaching the chaos that swept the world as a message of God, is secretly demonstrated when it is revealed that he received a notice to go to hell 20 years ago. After the demonstration, the hell lion running back to him, howling in the flames 'Jeong Jin-soo', and the slowly resurgent form amplify questions about what will happen.

Season 2 of 'Hell', which heralds a new development with the sudden emergence of a resurgent in a more chaotic world where hell-bound notices and demonstrations have become widespread, will once again capture viewers around the world with a deeper worldview and colorful characters.

In particular, Kim Sung-chul's joining is meaningful. Yoo Ah-in, who previously played Jung Jin-soo in season 1, was arrested due to a drug scandal. Yoo Ah-in was indicted in October last year on charges of habitual medical propofol administration 181 times under the guise of sleep anesthesia of cosmetic procedures at hospitals in Seoul from September 2020 to March 2022. Yoo Ah-in is known to have administered four types of drugs: propofol, midazolam, ketamine, and remimazolam. He is also accused of illegally buying 1,100 sleeping pills of two types in the name of another person 44 times between May 2021 and August 2022. In January last year, he was accused of smoking marijuana in the United States with four people, including his acquaintance Choi, an accomplice, and teaching others to smoke.

As a result, 'Hell', which was scheduled to film season 2, was embarrassed once when changing the role from Yoo Ah-in to Kim Seong-cheol, and later presented to viewers. In addition to Kim Sung-chul, Moon Geun-young, Moon So-ri, Yang Ik-jun, and Yire joined as new figures this season.

Director Yeon Sang-ho, who also directed and wrote the movie, said, "I'm very excited, nervous, and looking forward to seeing you as one of the people who loves the world view of "Hell" in three years following the first season of "Hell"." He further raised expectations for the second season by suggesting, "If you liked season 1, I think it came out as a work full of interesting questions."

Following the hot love and the highly acclaimed season 1 around the world for its unique dystopian worldview, the story of further evolution and the addition of new characters 'Hell' Season 2 will be released on Netflix on October 25.
