On the afternoon of the 5th, a press preview was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for the Wave New Classic project series 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon 2024' (played by Kim Do-woo, directed by Kim Yoon-chul). The premiere was attended by Kim Sun-ah as Kim Sam-soon in a professional pastry that truly loves making bread, cookies and cakes, Jeong Ryeo-won as Yoo Hee-jin, the beautiful first love of Hyun Jin-heon (Hyun Bin), and producer Kim Yoon-chul.
Producer Kim Yoon-chul said, `The point I worried about the most while working on this work and the point I had in mind was Hyun Jin-hun's character played by Hyun Bin. I wondered if the sense of the times 19 years ago and the sense of the generation of the times now could see this. At that time, it was commonly used as a man on a white horse, and the viewers seemed to tolerate it at that time. Even from my eye level, I thought it was too much. Hyun Jin-heon's attitude toward the person he has and his speech style did not match. So I tried to reveal the story at the point where it didn't hurt the story as much as possible. He confessed his honest feelings, saying, "I'm afraid and cautious about how viewers will accept it these days."
The drama is about the life and love of Kim Sam-soon, a 30-year-old woman who lives proudly as a professional pastry chef, although she has a fat appearance complex and a ridiculous name. Actors Kim Sun-ah, Hyun Bin, Jung Ryeo-won and Daniel Henney appeared, and Kim Do-woo wrote the script and Kim Yoon-chul directed it. It is a remastered work of 'My Name is Kim Sam-soon' that aired on MBC in 2005 for the first time in 19 years, and will be released on Wave on the 6th.
