"How to Open the Door" is a short film produced by actor Kim Nam-gil with KB Kookmin Bank to cheer for the first step in society and encourage social interest in the self-reliance preparation youth, whose home, which was the first step toward independence, disappeared in a day.
The 'self-reliance preparation youth', which is also the main character in the film, refers to a young man who is protected by child care facilities and foster families and has to prepare for single life after the age of 18, and often has difficulty in self-reliance due to insufficient preparation for single life after the end of protection. In response, Kim Nam-gil, CEO of Culture and Arts NGO Gilstory, planned and produced a film How to Open the Door with KB Kookmin Bank for the purpose of the 'Together Road' campaign to lay the foundation for young people preparing for self-reliance through culture and arts.
The movie "How to Open the Door" is directed by Park Ji-wan, who won the Blue Dragon Award for Best New Director for the movie "The Day I Die" starring Kim Hye-soo, Lee Jung-eun, and Noh Jung-eun, and director Heo Ji-ye, who directed a number of independent films such as "The Room of Two Women" and "SAVE THE CAT" co-wrote and directed the mystery and strange fantasy world. Actor Chae Seo-eun, who has been impressive in various works such as dramas 'Hi Cookie', 'Queen Ironin', and 'The Meteorological Administration People', plays the role of a young man preparing for self-reliance.
This warm film 'How to Open the Door' will be screened in the All Day Cinema section 'Youth SEA-NEMA' of Community Beef at the Busan International Film Festival and meet the audience. How to Open the Door will be held on October 3 under the theme of Youth Day Self-reliance Preparation Youth 'Together Road', and Director Park Ji-wan, Director Heo Ji-ye, Actor Chae Seo-eun, and Young Self-reliance Preparation Youth Park Kang-bin will attend and have meaningful conversations with the audience. After the GV, an outdoor Beef Square stage greeting event is scheduled, and an outdoor screening will be held on October 4 at a special stage in Beef Square.
