In the 11th episode of MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Black Out' (hereinafter 'Snow White'), which aired on the 21st, the reality of ugly killers Shin Chu-ho (Lee Doo-il) and Park Hyung-sik (Jeong Won-hwan), who killed people and concealed the truth, came to the surface, surprising viewers.
As a result, the viewership of the 11th episode of Snow White was 8.7% nationwide and 8.5% in the metropolitan area, while the highest ratings per minute soared to 9.9%. The nation, the metropolitan area, and the highest ratings per minute all broke their own records and ranked first in the same time period. (based on Nielsen Korea)
First, two shovels found in the trunk of Ko Jeong-woo's car brought a huge storm to the murder investigation. Upon hearing the news that the shovel had come out, police chief Hyun Gu-tak (Kwon Hae-hyo) began to think of getting out of the investigation again, fearing that his sin, which had instructed him to abandon Shim Bo-young (Jang Ha-eun), who had fallen in the past, would be revealed.
To make matters worse, the criminal's outline was slowly becoming clear as Ko secured decisive testimony from witnesses of a car accident 11 years ago that `two middle-aged men drove a car.' Feeling a sense of crisis, Hyun Gutak met his accomplice, Yang Heung-soo (played by Cha Soon-bae), to make a plan to settle the situation.
However, Hyun Gutak was confused again when he heard the unexpected story that Shim Bo-young, who had lost his mind and collapsed in the past, was actually alive. Even confessing that it was Shin Chu-ho, the father of Shin Min-soo (Lee Woo-je) who killed Shim Bo-young, the situation went in an unpredictable direction.
In response, Hyun Gutak took advantage of the fact that Shim Bo-young's father, Shim Dong-min (Cho Jae-yoon), had a shotgun, and planned to eliminate the thorny Shin Chu-ho and cover up the case. Yang Heung-soo, who did not know what Hyun Gut-tak was up to, simply confided to Shim Dong-min about the atrocities committed by Shin Chu-ho as he was told, and Shim Dong-min, who lost his reason in anger, immediately visited Shin Chu-ho with a gun and raised tension.
However, even before Shim Dong-min's gun was in front of him, Shin Chu-ho brazenly blamed Ko Jung-woo and scratched Shim Dong-min's insides. Ko Jung-woo, who arrived at the scene late, tried to stop it, but Shim Dong-min, who was caught up in guilt for his daughter, who did nothing while he was alive, eventually fired revenge at Shin Chu-ho. I wonder how this incident, which was brought about by endless selfishness, will end with Ko Jung-woo and those on the scene losing their words in another tragedy.
On the other hand, the shock doubled as Park Hyung-sik, the husband of lawmaker Ye Young-sil (Bae Jong-ok), was found to be the culprit of Park Dae-eun's murder, which occurred 11 years ago that day. Park Hyung-sik, who realized that Hyun Gu-tak's son Hyun Soo-oh (Lee Ga-seop) was a witness who watched all the murders, went to his wife, Ye Young-sil, in panic and asked for a back-up.
The crime committed by her husband to Ye Young-sil, who has only a few days left before the governor's election, will be fatal. To make matters worse, Ye Young-sil, who found out that Choi Na-gyeom (Ko Bo-gyeol), who witnessed the incident 11 years ago, was sending threatening texts to Park Hyung-sik, immediately met Choi Na-gyeom and offered a deal. It was Choi Na-gyeom, who promised to remain silent in exchange for having Ko Jung-woo, but she still had a video shot 11 years ago, adding to her curiosity about how the precarious negotiations between the two will flow.
MBC's Friday-Saturday drama 'Death to Snow White-Black Out', which foreshadows a more spectacular development as the killer's veil is lifted, will air 12 episodes at 9:50 p.m. on the 27th.
