Ham Ik-byeong, his wife Kang Mi-hyung, and daughter Ham Eun-young appeared in the TV Chosun entertainment show 「Dad and Me」, which aired on the 18th.
When Lee Seung-yeon asked if she was uncomfortable appearing on family entertainment shows during the broadcast, Kang Mi-hyung said "It's as comfortable as a room." I feel reassured when my family is together. In a crisis situation, my husband is on my side in the end," he said, expressing his comfort. In addition, when Ham Ik-byung's self-assertion seems to be strong, Kang Mi-hyung is more assertive than stubborn. When there is talk of donating a kidney, my husband says he will never give it to me. At first, I thought it meant to take good care of my body, but if it is repeated, I feel disappointed.
Kang Mi-hyung once described her husband as like a dog on fire at the tail. I live too busy, and I don't have time to rest unproductively." In response, Ham Ik-byung "Enjoying it is the work of the next generation. Even if I can afford it, my way of life will not change."
Ham Ik-byeong rarely travels or goes on vacation. Her daughter Ham Eun-young recalled her childhood family trip and said, "When I went to Manjanggul Cave on Jeju Island, my father made me memorize the explanation. I couldn't answer, so I asked him to read it again with a straight face." Kang Mi-hyung added "It's natural that the children didn't understand because they were young at the time, but I don't know why they were angry."
Recalling his childhood, Ham Ik-byung recalled "My father was a high school teacher, and I fed him 10 family members. My mother helped me by doing business." Then "My mother often said she didn't have money, and my father often flips his table due to stress. I tried to eat quickly and leave before my mother talked about the money," he said.
He said that as he got older, the memories of that time came to him more sadly. "I think it's the role of the head of the household to make sure that there's no money at home."," he said, explaining the reason for his busy life.
