Kim Tae-won, director of the Netflix content team, said he is considering guidelines for actors' performance fees.

Director Kim Tae-won said in the 'Next on Netflix: 2025 Korean Film' held at the ballroom on the 2nd floor of Park Hyatt Busan in Haeundae-gu, Busan on the afternoon of the 4th, `I am internally considering paying the actors an appropriate fee for the work.'

We cannot leave out the recent mention of 'increasing performance fees' in the K-content industry. It was pointed out that as the global OTT platform entered Korea, the price of actors increased, and production costs increased. In particular, Lee Jung-jae's appearance fee in the Netflix original series 'Squid Game' Season 2, which is set to be released in December, is known to amount to 1 billion won per episode, drawing attention.

Director Kim Tae-won expressed concern, saying, `Although Korean contents are doing well and are successful globally, this increase in production costs will return as side effects and reactions like boomerangs.'

As for the alternative to this, "We are thinking that it would be a good way for the work to pay the performance fee according to the appropriate budget."I haven't set any guidelines or regulations, but I'm internally thinking about the appropriate performance fee for the work.", he explained.

Meanwhile, Netflix has been showing a variety of Korean films over the past year, including 'Wild', 'Rogiwan', 'Cross', and 'A martial arts practitioner'. It has captured the hearts of global viewers by expanding the diversity of genres and introducing films based on solid cinematic quality. A total of seven Korean films were named as the lineup of next year's Korean films, including 'Great Floods', '84 square meters', 'Confession History', 'Good News', 'Gye Si-rok', 'Wari', and 'Necessary for Farewell'. From newcomers to established creators, Korean films will be introduced to deliver different fun.
