Actors Cho Woo-jin, Ji Chang-wook, Ha Yoon-kyung, and Kim Hyung-seo attended the production presentation of 「Gangnam B-Side" held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Jung-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 30th to talk about the work.
'Gangnam B-side' is a chase crime drama about a detective, a prosecutor, and a mysterious broker intertwine to find the missing club ace 'Jaehee' in Gangnam. The production team, which has been recognized for its skills through various genre films such as "New World", "Asura", and "Hunt", and director Park Nuri, who won the 40th Golden Shooting Award for "Don", worked together to enhance the completeness.
At the meeting, Cho Woo-jin played the role of Detective Kang Dong-woo who was demoted to Gangnam in this work," he said, adding that he made changes to both the appearance and the inside for the character. He said "A person who tries to solve a case like a bulldozer, but rather gets caught up in a whirlwind," he said. "I wanted to portray him as a friendly character because the director said 'Please make me feel like a strong man if I'm next to him.'
Cho Woo-jin said he broke his highest weight for the first time since high school to immerse himself in his character. He added "I gained 18kg for this work, but it was not easy to gain weight by exercising at the same time."````````````. He also added that although he was unfamiliar with his changed appearance, he tried to make sure that viewers could support the character without feeling burdened.
