On the afternoon of the 31st, a press and distribution premiere was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Ichon-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul, for the horror comedy film 'Idiot Girls and School Ghost: School Anniversary' (directed by Kim Min-ha, produced by 26 Company). The premiere was attended by Kim Do-yeon as Ji-yeon, an aspiring film director who is familiar with all the horror films, Son Joo-yeon as Eun-byeol, an aspiring entertainer who combines narcissism and white hair, Jung Ha-dam as Min-ju, a mysterious second-year mercenary who runs the Ministry of Religion alone, Kang Shin-hee as Hyun-jung, who dreams of becoming a cinematographer with Lee Doo-keun, and director Kim Min-ha.
Director Kim Min-ha said, `We did a pre-production in December last year and filmed it in January this year and came all the way here. Although the Chesse Fantastic Film Festival only had English subtitles, the audience loved it, and Kaohsiung and Jakarta also liked it. Jakarta, in particular, was an all-time response. I thought it was a very Korean movie, but I can see that I can go beyond language through various film festivals."
He said "I originally really hate horror movies. When I was in middle school, I was so surprised that I went to an oriental medicine clinic and drank herbal medicine. Later, I heard that low-budget horror movies are good to find new actors. And I like comedy, and I took this opportunity to try horror comedy.
'Idiot Girls and School Ghost: School Anniversary' is a work about the horror of having to survive the hide-and-seek of curses on the night of the school anniversary when school ghost stories have become a reality. Kim Do-yeon, Son Ju-yeon, Jung Ha-dam and Kang Shin-hee appeared, and it is Kim Min-ha's first feature directorial debut. It will be released on November 6.
