Actor Jang Yoon-joo talked about his efforts to understand the character in the movie 'Minimal Goodwill'.

Jang Yoon-ju recently met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Samcheong-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, and said, `When I felt difficulty in understanding the joy, the director recommended Han Kang's 'Vegetarian'.

Released on the 30th, 'Minimal Goodwill' is a work in which Hee-yeon, a high school teacher who was stressed by infertility, is confused by the pregnancy of Yumi, a class student, but she considers Yumi's situation and asks us all questions about the good will she can do, and director Kim Hyun-jung took the megaphone.

On how he became involved in the film, Jang Yoon-ju said, "It's a movie of my favorite genre. Until now, he has mainly shown a naughty and bright side through his works, but he has been interested in independent films since the past. Those of you who know my musical sensibility will probably understand it."I enjoyed reading the scenario from the first time I received it. It was a completely unexpected flow, and the writing was well organized," he said.

Jang Yoon-joo plays Hee-yeon, a first-year high school homeroom teacher who is confused by the pregnancy of class student Yumi in the drama, while struggling with infertility. He said "The first thing I heard after reading the script was 'I want to be a good teacher and help Yumi' was. I had a desire to be a good teacher myself. I've had that feeling since I trained junior models or when I was volunteering before getting married, but I think it's well expressed in this work. Su-in was cast in the Yumi character before me, and she was an impressive friend since 'The Glory'. I didn't think it was the same actor because the image was so different, but I looked it up late again 'Huh? I felt like I'd be a good team"It was better because Su-in was Yumi."

He also shared his feelings about working with director Kim Hyun-jung for the first time. Jang Yoon-joo said "The director is unique. He has both Hee-yeon and Yumi's personalities. While filming the movie with the director, I only talked about the work, but I didn't contact him separately. I think I really only did 'Minimal Communication' (laughs). I told the director why Hee-yeon is depressed and why she has no power, but the director said it would be better if there were no things to explain the character. When I had a hard time understanding the character, the director recommended Han Kang's 'Vegetarian'. At first, the content seemed so scary, but as I read more and more, I thought, 'Oh, there could be someone like this.' It certainly helped me in the process of understanding the characters. "It was a special woman's emotional line and I think it was a narrative."
